WeDoMind is a university-based consultation and expertise centre at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. We connect psychological consultation, research, and outreach to strengthen mental health and wellbeing among children, adolescents, young adults, families, schools, and professionals.
Our consultation pillar offers accessible, evidence-informed support for individuals and organisations facing mental-health-related questions or concerns. Through our research pillar, we contribute to knowledge on prevention, early intervention, and psychological care, with a strong focus on translating research into practice and policy.
Our outreach activities bring this expertise to society through materials, lectures, trainings, workshops, practical tools, and a testotheek with scientifically grounded assessment instruments.
By bringing consultation, research, and outreach together, WeDoMind aims to make mental health support more accessible, evidence-informed, and responsive to real-life needs.
Our Pillars
Our vision
We advocate a shift towards learning mental health systems: connected infrastructures that continuously generate and apply knowledge to improve prevention, support and care. By monitoring changing needs and inequalities, evaluating interventions under real-world conditions, tailoring the intensity of support to people’s needs, and accelerating translation into practice and policy, WeDoMind aims to combine population-level prevention with timely, targeted, equitable and personalised stepped care.
